PlainsCapital Celebrates Grand Opening of New, Modern Arlington Banking Center
ARLINGTON, TX (January 22, 2019) – Dallas-based PlainsCapital Bank marked the official grand opening of its modern Arlington banking center with an evening ribbon cutting ceremony on Jan. 17. Attending the event were Arlington city officials, business and civic leaders, customers, and members of PlainsCapital’s executive management team, as well as PlainsCapital’s live buffalo mascot, Mo.
Located at 804 N. Collins Street near AT&T Stadium, the new modern facility encompasses nearly 10,000-square-feet of banking and commercial lending space and features state-of-the-art technology, including an interactive drive-thru video terminal where customers can video conference with a remote PlainsCapital Bank teller.
“We believe there should be a complementary balance between the digital and physical banking experiences we provide our customers,” said PlainsCapital Bank President and CEO Jerry Schaffner. “There is so much business development occurring in North Texas, particularly in the high-growth area around Arlington. We want to maintain prominent visibility in the community, and our new location is an important part of that. PlainsCapital’s commercial branch network plays a significant role in our business strategy. That said, we are also committed to providing the latest banking technologies to further expand our service offerings.”
Among those joining Schaffner at the grand opening festivities were Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams, Arlington Chamber of Commerce President Michael Jacobson, Hilltop Holdings Co-CEO and PlainsCapital Bank Chairman Alan White, and PlainsCapital Bank Fort Worth Region Chairman Mark Warren.
Arlington Bank President Brad Hays, a career banker who has been with PlainsCapital since 2007, noted the benefits of the N. Collins facility’s centralized location. “Along with being customer convenient, the new location provides our Arlington team of commercial bankers with easier access to points east and west along the burgeoning I-30 corridor stretching between Dallas and Fort Worth.” Hays added that the Arlington branch is also situated in a designated low-income area, presenting an opportunity for PlainsCapital to assist in the revitalization efforts happening around AT&T Stadium.
The new, larger N. Collins location replaces PlainsCapital’s two smaller Arlington-area branches.
PlainsCapital has 22 branches in North Texas.
