PlainsCapital Bank Welcomes Michael Brown to Downtown Austin Lending Group

AUSTIN, TX (Nov. 2, 2020) – PlainsCapital Bank recently welcomed Michael Brown as senior vice president with its downtown Austin lending group at 201 West 5th Street, Suite 1000.
Brown will focus on expanding PlainsCapital’s business development efforts in Austin and manage loan and deposit portfolios for the Bank’s commercial real estate clientele.
“Over the last few decades, Mike has built strong relationships with the businesses and people of Austin,” said PlainsCapital Bank Austin Region Chairman Paul Holubec. “His wide range of commercial real estate banking, and lending experience will further equip PlainsCapital Bank to continue supporting our clients’ financial endeavors and growing our market share in Austin.”
Brown joins PlainsCapital from Texas Capital Bank’s real estate group where he managed loan and deposit portfolios for companies across the Lone Star State. He has more than 30 years of banking experience in the Austin area.

Brown received his BBA in finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He has served as a volunteer and a board member of Meals on Wheels Central Texas since 2002 and recently began his third year as a board member of the Long Center for the Performing Arts.
