PlainsCapital Bank Helps Brighten the Holidays for Children in Need with Toys for Tots Donation

LUBBOCK, TX (Dec. 4, 2019) – To help brighten the holidays for children in need, PlainsCapital Bank’s Lubbock branches recently completed a toy drive for the United States Marine Corps’ annual Toys for Tots campaign.
The Bank got into the holiday spirit early, kicking off the donation campaign as part of their annual Halloween celebration and encouraging employees and community members to contribute new, unwrapped toys.
“Every year, the bank celebrates Halloween in a big way. This year, our theme happened to be toys, with everyone dressing up as our favorite childhood toys,” said Beverley Nichols, PlainsCapital Bank vault clerk. “Through that idea, we decided to start collecting donations for Toys for Tots.”
The Bank collected toys for children of all ages and participants were asked to drop off the type of toys their own children might want. Nichols and PlainsCapital Bank’s buffalo mascot, Mo, dropped off the donations and interviewed with local television station KAMC to discuss their giving initiative.
