PlainsCapital Bank Announces Officer Promotions For Lubbock
LUBBOCK, TX (April 6, 2018) – The following Lubbock PlainsCapital Bank officers have received promotions:
Perry Tipton
Executive Vice President, Public Relations/Culture
Perry Tipton has been promoted to executive vice president/culture. He is responsible for fostering strategic partnerships with civic and business leaders on behalf of the Bank, while overseeing community events and employee-engagement initiatives designed to connect PlainsCapital’s resources with community needs. Tipton’s banking career in the Lubbock market spans 45 years. He joined PlainsCapital Bank in 1990. Tipton has held numerous leadership positions with Lubbock-area organizations including the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, American Cancer Society, South Plains Food Bank, Texas Tech Chancellors Council, and the Lubbock Executive Association. He currently serves on the board of directors of the National Football Foundation’s Texas Tech Chapter is a trustee for the Texas Tech Museum Association. Seth Schulz
Senior Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer
PlainsCapital promoted Seth Schulz to senior vice president, commercial loan officer. Schulz is responsible for managing the development and growth of PlainsCapital’s commercial lending portfolio, specializing in interim construction loans, equipment financing, and working capital lines of credit. A graduate of Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business with a B.B.A. in finance, Schulz has eight years of banking and commercial lending experience in the Lubbock market. He joined PlainsCapital Bank in 2010. Schulz serves on the Lubbock ISD Foundation for Excellence board and the Lubbock area United Way Loaned Executive Division campaign cabinet. Leah Corona
Senior Vice President, Regional Operations Manager
Leah Corona has been promoted to senior vice president, regional operations manager. She is responsible for managing the daily operations of PlainsCapital’s 11 branches in the Lubbock market, including retail administration and sales duties, customer services, security, and internal control processes. Corona brings nearly 24 years of banking industry experience to her role. She joined PlainsCapital in 1996. A lifelong Lubbock resident, Corona attended South Plains College and Texas Tech University, where she pursued a degree in finance. Corona offices at PlainsCapital’s 50th & University location.
Julie Mandrell
Vice President, Senior Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter
Julie Mandrell has been promoted to vice president, senior human resources generalist/recruiter. An experienced human resources professional, Mandrell joined the Bank in 2009. In her current role, she is responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting and employee onboarding services for the Lubbock market, in addition to providing general HR support for PlainsCapital Bank in the Lubbock, Austin, and San Antonio markets. Mandrell earned a B.B.A. in business management from Texas Tech University. She is located at PlainsCapital’s 50th& University branch.
Jeremy Layman
Vice President, Premier Services Manager
Jeremy Layman has been promoted to vice president, premier services manager where he is responsible for managing the implementation of PlainsCapital’s Premier Services program for the Lubbock market. Layman joined PlainsCapital in 2001 and has more than 16 years of customer service experience in retail and business banking to his credit. He is located at the Bank’s 50th & University branch.
Danielle Brewster
Assistant Vice President, Wealth Management and Trust Administrator
Danielle Brewster has been promoted to assistant vice president, wealth management and trust administrator. She is responsible for the administration of estates, trusts, individual retirement accounts, and investment management agency accounts, as well as farm and real estate portfolio management. Brewster joined PlainsCapital in 1997. She earned a B.B.A. in finance from Texas Tech University. Brewster offices at PlainsCapital’s 50th& University location.
Nikki Uriegas
Assistant Vice President, Regulatory Analyst Supervisor
Nikki Uriegas has been promoted to assistant vice president, regulatory analyst supervisor. She is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the regulatory analyst group, including mentoring analysts and managing and monitoring the Bank’s financial processes, risk ratings, and loan codings to ensure they are in compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements, as well as the Bank’s loan policy. A graduate of Texas Tech University where she earned a B.S. in human sciences with an emphasis in retail, interior design and architecture, Uriegas joined PlainsCapital in 2013. She offices at the Bank’s 50th& University location.
Kelsey Miller
Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager
Kelsey Miller has been promoted to assistant vice president, branch manager of PlainsCapital Bank’s 50th& University location. She is responsible for the full-service retail operations of the branch, including customer relationships, staff management, branch security, and regulatory compliance. A graduate of South Plains College with a degree in business, Miller joined the Bank in 2013.
Justin Davis,
Bank Officer, Junior Commercial Closer
Justin Davis has been promoted to bank officer, junior commercial closer. He is responsible for managing the daily operations of the commercial and industrial (C&I) closing department, assisting loan officers with commercial loan closings and working alongside commercial real estate closers, as needed, to assist with closing relevant loans. Davis joined PlainsCapital Bank in 2012. He attended South Plains College and West Texas A&M University, earning a degree in graphic design. He is located at PlainsCapital’s 50th& University branch.
Aubree Ellison
Bank Officer, Premier Services Representative
Aubree Ellison has been promoted to bank officer, Premier Services representative. She is responsible for assisting PlainsCapital’s most elite business and private banking customers with any of their banking-related requests in a concierge service capacity. Ellison joined the Bank in 2014, following her studies in business at South Plains College. She is active with the March of Dimes and the American Diabetes Association, currently serving on community committees with both organizations, respectively. Ellison is located at the Bank’s 50th& University branch.
Heath Fennell
Bank Officer, Credit Analyst
Heath Fennell has been promoted to bank officer, credit analyst. Fennell works with the Bank’s loan officers, developing in-depth credit analyst reports, debt summaries, loan worksheets, and grading scorecards for the Bank’s commercial, correspondent, agriculture, and real estate lending portfolio. He has participated in the Lubbock Area United Way Loaned Executive program and currently co-chairs PlainsCapital Bank’s fundraising committee. Fennell earned a B.B.A. in accounting and an M.S. in accounting with a tax emphasis from Texas Tech University. He joined the Bank in 2015. Kristin Gainer
Bank Officer, Note Department Supervisor
Kristin Gainer has been promoted to bank officer, note department supervisor. She is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Bank’s note department, including the booking, funding, and loan maintenance processes. Gainer joined the Bank in 2016. She is located at PlainsCapital’s 50th& University branch.
Danielle Harms
Bank Officer, Collateral Analyst Supervisor
PlainsCapital Bank has promoted Danielle Harms to bank officer, collateral analyst supervisor. Harms is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Bank’s collateral analyst group, including all aspects of the loan documentation process, as well as assisting with internal audit loan documentation requests. A graduate of Lubbock Christian University with a B.B.A. in finance, Harms joined the Bank in 2016. She offices at PlainsCapital’s 50th & University location.
Fawn Smith
Bank Officer, Product Analyst
Fawn Smith has been promoted to bank officer, product analyst. She is responsible for managing PlainsCapital’s account analyst system, including conducting risk assessments of the Bank’s commercial remote deposit capture network. Smith also provides support with various treasury management products. She attended Texas Tech University’s School of Banking and has more than 10 years of banking experience in the Lubbock market. She joined the Bank in 2007. Smith offices at PlainsCapital’s Boston location.
